We need to Resist Entropy as Christians

Revelation 3:14-19 NAS95 “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God, says this: 15 ‘I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. 16 ‘So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth. 17 ‘Because you say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked, 18 I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see. 19 ‘Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent.

Revelation 2:4-5 NAS95  ‘But I have this against you, that you have left your first love.   5  ‘Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its place—unless you repent.

Galatians 6:9-10 NAS95  Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.  10  So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.

Hebrews 10:23-25 NAS95  Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful;  24  and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds,  25  not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

We can prevent entropy by being close to a source of heat and ensuring we insulate ourselves from the cold.
