The Holy Spirit is Missing from Paul’s Introductory statement in his Letters

There is an interesting regular introductory statement from Paul in all of his letters (except Hebrews) which has an obvious omission if your are a Trinitarian and believe that the Holy Spirit is a separate person.

Paul writes in the beginning of each letter the statement “Grace to you (and sometimes mercy) and peace from God our Father and the the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Paul’s never mentions the Holy Spirit as part of this statement. So in 13 letters that Paul wrote he never states that Holy Spirit wants to send the saints peace or grace. Why is this? If Paul believed in the trinity doctrine, surely he would have included him in the sentence. The Holy Spirit is supposed to be God after all.

One Trinity simple definition states :- God exists as three Persons but One Essence. The three Persons are God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit and all are equal and eternal.

If you were Christian in Pauls day, you would be asking why has the Holy Spirit not wanted to give us grace and peace? Paul why have you left him out? The bible is consistent and there are always logical and simple explanations. In this case I would suggest that the Holy Spirit is not a person but part of the Father God. It is as the Holy Spirit is termed the Spirit of God in a number of places.

Below are all the scripture references for Pauls introductory sentence.

Romans 1:7 To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 1:2-3 To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours: 3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 1:1-2 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, To the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints who are in all Achaia: 2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Galatians 1:1-3 Paul, an apostle (not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised Him from the dead), 2 and all the brethren who are with me, To the churches of Galatia: 3 Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ,

Ephesians 1:2-3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

Philippians 1:2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Colossians 1:1-2 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, 2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ who are in Colosse: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Thessalonians 1:1 Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Thessalonians 1:1-2 Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:  2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Timothy 1:2 To Timothy, a true son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.

2 Timothy 1:2 To Timothy, a beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

Titus 1:4 To Titus, a true son in our common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.

Philemon 1:3  Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Does anyone have an explanation of why Paul left the Holy Spirit of the above statement?

The answer is that the Holy Spirit is not a separate person and is actually an extension of Father God who is a spirit as we know into our lives.
